Organized by the Chitose River Office, the “Chitose River Kawa Juku” is held four times a year to provide children with hands-on experiences of the river environment.
“Kawa Juku” is an environmental learning program set along the river, where participants learn about the importance of rivers and water, disaster prevention, and the natural environment.
In the spring edition of the River School, participants will walk along the Izari River in search of creatures found during this season. First-time participants are very welcome. We hope you’ll join us.
