Twin pandas ‘Ruibao’ and ‘Huibao,’ living in South Korea, will return to China in December.
South Korean theme park Everland announced on September 30 that twin giant pandas ‘Ruibao’ (叡宝) and ‘Huibao’ (輝宝), born in South Korea, will return to China in December.
According to Everland, Ruibao and Huibao are scheduled to head to China in the third week of December to begin a new life. The specific departure date and transfer destination will be decided after comprehensively considering the twins’ health condition, temperature, local conditions, and other factors. The two pandas will enter a phase of health management and quarantine approximately one month before their departure.
Everland stated that it will make thorough preparations to ensure the twins’ safe departure, and plans to hold a series of events so that visitors can engrave their memories with the twins and celebrate their new beginning.
According to relevant regulations, Ruibao and Huibao are to return to China before they turn four years old. The two were born on July 7, 2023, and are the first twin pandas born in South Korea to giant pandas ‘LeBao’ (楽宝) and ‘AiBao’ (愛宝) who live in South Korea. (Provided by/CGTN Japanese)
