Ulaanbaatar, September 28, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Nomtoibayar Nyamtaishir received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Thomas Graf on September 28, 2026.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding Mongolian-German relations and cooperation at the strategic partnership level, particularly in trade and economic sectors.
Deputy Prime Minister Nomtoibayar presented legal reforms being implemented by the Government aimed at addressing challenges faced by foreign investors and businesses, improving the investment environment, and reducing state intervention in the economy.
He further emphasized that drafting the Law on Special Economic Zones and securing its approval during the autumn session of the State Great Khural will establish a legal framework to boost foreign direct investment, support businesses, and protect investors’ rights.
Ambassador Thomas Graf noted that bilateral relations have actively developed across political, social, cultural, scientific, and educational fields, expressing Germany’s keen interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation. He voiced appreciation for the ongoing efforts to address issues encountered by German investors and businesses, highlighting his commitment to attracting companies and investors interested in doing business in Mongolia.
