PSYCHIC FEVER made their first appearance at the 12th MANGA BARCELONA, held in Barcelona, Spain from December 5th to 8th.
“MANGA BARCELONA” is held every December as “an annual opportunity to experience Japanese culture”, and is the largest festival of Japanese culture in Spain, attracting more than 12 visitors. This year marked the 16th anniversary of the event, and Naoki Urasawa, the author of “30th Century Boys”, was in charge of the illustrations for the official poster and participated as an honorary guest. In addition, the largest number of artists in the history of manga and anime appeared as guests, livening up the event.
PSYCHIC FEVER, who performed for the first time in Europe at JAPAN EXPO PARIS in Paris in July this year, has been gaining popularity across Europe, and so they were chosen to perform at this event. They performed to rapturous audiences over two days, December 7th and 12th local time. This article reports on the second day.
As the opening video, which also introduced the band members, played, many people were already gathered in front of the stage, ready to get excited. The seven members appeared on stage to cheers and started the live performance with “TALK TO ME NICE,” which was released in November and was also recently performed on the American TV program FOX7’s “Good Day New York.”
After performing “HABANERO” and “Tokyo Spiral” while calling on the audience to put their hands up, they moved on to the next song without revealing the name of the song, only saying that it was a “dance number”. Then, as the familiar intro to “Just Like Dat” rang out, a huge cheer immediately rose from the floor. The song has been viewed over 2.5 million times on TikTok, and has been a hot topic around the world this year, mainly for its dance videos, and the seven members brought the venue together with their well-coordinated dance performance.
At this point, Onatsushi, WEESA, and Watanabe Ren, who remained on stage, sang “Rocket” calmly as the scene changed. Next, Ken, Nakanishi Ryoga, JIMMY, and Handa Tatsuomi appeared in turn, and showed a speedy microphone relay of “Psyfe Cypher”, exciting the floor again, and then led to “Spark It Up” by all seven members. This was a block that raised the tension in the venue in a different way from the first half, while showing off each member’s singing voice and skill.
After giving a brief self-introduction each person, Owatsu expressed his gratitude to the gathered audience, saying, “I’m very happy to be able to appear on the second day of Manga Barcelona. Thank you so much to everyone who came!”
Next, they performed a medley of short versions of “SH♡TGUN,” “Perfect,” and “Highlights,” one after the other, and during “IGNITION” and “SPICE,” Miyakumyaku, the official character of “EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo,” appeared as a special guest. With Miyakumyaku in the center of the stage, the seven members actively engaged the audience in their performance by waving towels and waving their hands up and down. Having performed overseas many times, including at “JAPAN EXPO PARIS,” they are very good at capturing the hearts of audiences even in unfamiliar places. Many audience members were seen moving their bodies freely on the floor and enjoying their music to the fullest.
After WEESA and Konatsu sang a cappella verses of “Temperture,” they performed “BEE-PO” and “Bitter Sweet.” Next, titled “Special Show,” Watanabe first got the crowd excited with beatboxing, and the other members joined in with clapping and call-and-response, raising the venue to another level. The last song they performed was “FIRE.” Under the red lights, they captivated the audience with their powerful singing and performance, and finished their approximately one-hour stage surrounded by loud cheers.
PSYCHIC FEVER’s first performance in Spain was a success. In 2024, the group expanded their activities significantly, including their first Asian tour. And in February of next year, their first US tour, “PSYCHIC FEVER FIRST US TOUR 2”, will finally begin. As they continue to take on new challenges, we’re looking forward to seeing what kind of stage they’ll show us next in America.
PSYCHIC FEVERComment
We recently had the honor of performing for two days at “Manga Barcelona” in Spain!!
The release of “Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY” gave them an opportunity to become known all over the world, and this was their second performance in Europe, following their recent performance in Paris!
I was very happy to be able to meet all the local fans, and I was deeply moved to see them singing and dancing together, despite the language barrier.
We will work hard as a team so that we can perform a live show in Spain again and tour again!
We hope you will look forward to our future activities!

PSYCHIC FEVER is a seven-member boy group consisting of KOKORO, WEESA, TSURUGI, RYOGA, REN, JIMMY, and RYUSHIN, which debuted in July 7 as the seventh group from EXILE TRIBE, a unique group of Japanese artists affiliated with LDH JAPAN.
The seven members each have their own unique personalities based on their own roots, and their performances of dance, vocals, and rap create a chemical reaction, hence the name PSYCHIC FEVER. (The fan name is ForEVER.)
Aiming to be active globally, since their debut in 2022 they have been active mainly in Asia, including Japan, and have made an impact on audiences by performing at some of Asia’s largest music festivals in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. In July, they performed at “Japan Expo Paris 7”, their first performance in Europe, and thrilled European audiences.
PSYCHIC FEVER’s purpose is to “IGNITE OUR DREAMS”, and their performances give audiences the courage to pursue their dreams and ignite their hearts.
The new song “Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY” has been a big hit both in Japan and overseas, mainly due to the dance video, and has been played over 2.5 million times on TikTok. In addition, it has been charted in the top 50 of Spotify’s viral charts in Japan and nine other Asian countries and regions, including Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Korea, and has been ranked in the top 9 in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, attracting attention from all over the world.
In 2024, PSYCHIC FEVER’s challenge will accelerate even further, with the goal of expanding from Asia to the world, then to Europe and America.
