2025年6月6日から8日にかけて、スペインのモーターランド・アラゴンにてMotoGP第8戦アラゴンGPが行われた。ここまで圧倒的な強さでシリーズをリードしているマルク・マルケス（Ducati Lenovo Team）だが、意外にも決勝における優勝は第4戦以来遠のいている。しかし、地元スペインで尚且つ得意の左回りのサーキットでマルク・マルケスは無類の強さを見せつけた。
マルティンのアプリリア離脱表明で来季市場はどうなる？
現在もっともホットな話題であるホルヘ・マルティン（Aprilia Racing）のアプリリア離脱宣言。ゼッケン1とともに今季からアプリリアのワークス入りを果たしたマルティンだったが、度重なる怪我により欠場が続いている。そんななか、アプリリアでは勝てないと判断したマルティンは、正式に今季限りでチームを離脱する意思があると認めたのだ。
2年契約を結んでいる両者だが、タイトル争いに加わる事ができていない場合、チームを離脱できるという契約条項があるとマルティン側は主張。しかし、前述のとおりマルティンが今季僅か1戦しか走れていない状況を踏まえると、その契約は無効であるとチームは考えている。
関係性は悪化することなく今も良好だとアピールしているマルティンだが、どちらに転んでも後味の悪さが残ることに変わりはない。そこで気になるのがマルティンの移籍先だ。
現在もっとも有力な移籍先に上がっているのがHRCである。現在所属しているルカ・マリーニ（Honda Team）の契約が今季限りで終了ことに加え、低迷が続いているマリーニに対し、ホンダが契約延長をしない可能性が高いためだ。
これまで同シートを狙っていたのがKTMの不振にしびれを切らしているペドロ・アコスタ（Red Bull KTM Factory Racing）と、MotoGPへの挑戦を熱望しているSBK王者であるトプラク・ラズガットリオグルの2名。
そこにマルティンがシート争いに加わることとなったわけだが、意外にも3名はHRCのシートを奪い合うことはないかもしれない。
というのも、ラズガットリオグルがプラマック・ヤマハとの契約が間近であることが報じられており、アコスタはドゥカティのシートを狙っているとのこと。
これらの情報は正式なものではないが、もしそのように事が進めば3名ともきれいに収まることになる。
プラマックはジャック・ミラー（Prima Pramac Yamaha）が今季限りで契約が満了するが、2年契約しているものの、成績が振るわないミゲール・オリベイラ（Prima Pramac Yamaha）に代わり、ラズガットリオグルを加入させる可能性は大いにあり得る。
一方、アコスタがドゥカティに入るとなると、今季で契約が切れるVR46のフランコ・モルビデリ（Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team）との入れ替わりとなる。
しかし、GP24を得たモルビデリは今季好成績を残しており、契約更新の可能性は高い。さらにモルビデリはVR46の門下生でもある。そのモルビデリを切ってまでアコスタを加入させるかどうかはなんとも不透明だ。
マルティンのアプリリア離脱により、読めなくなった来期のシート争い。そんな渦中にいるマルティンとアコスタのマネージャーが奇しくも同じアルバート・ヴァレラであり、マルティンにアプリリアのシートを明け渡したアレイシ・エスパルガロのマネージャーもヴァレラである。マルティン（ヴァレラとも言える）を中心とした来季のシート争い、どのような決着となるのだろうか。
マルク・マルケスがアラゴンでスプリント勝利
晴天に恵まれたアラゴン。予選ではここまで全セッションでトップに立っているマルク・マルケスがコースレコードを塗り替えポールポジションを獲得した。
2番グリッドにアレックス・マルケス（Gresini Racing MotoGP）、3番グリッドにはモルビデリがつけた。
気温29度、路面温度50度のドライコンディションのなか、11周のスプリントレースがスタート。
スタートでは2番グリッドスタートのアレックス・マルケスが先行。
2番グリッドスタートのアレックス・マルケスがホールショットを奪い、モルビデリ、マルク・マルケスが続く。
スタートで出遅れたマルク・マルケスだったが、2周目のターン1でモルビデリをオーバーテイクし2番手に浮上。3番手に後退したモルビデリは4番手に浮上したアコスタに迫られるも、ここはモルビデリが3番手を死守してみせた。
アレックス・マルケスは兄をうまく抑え込んでいるようにみえたが、5周目になるとマルク・マルケスがペースを上げ弟に接近。6周目のターン1でマルク・マルケスが先頭に立ち、一気にペースを上げ逃げにかかった。
後方ではルーキーのフェルミン・アルデゲル（Gresini Racing MotoGP）が躍動。アコスタとの4番手争いを制すると、3番手のモルビデリに接近しバトルを仕掛けていく。
先頭のマルク・マルケスは独走体制を築き、2秒のギャップを持ってトップチェッカー。スプリントでは今季7勝目を挙げた。2位はアレックス・マルケス、3位にはモルビデリをオーバーテイクしたアルデゲルが入り、グレシーニの2台が表彰台を獲得している。
