[ブリュッセル ２８日 ロイター] – 米アルファベット(GOOGL.O), opens new tab傘下のグーグルは２８日、米マイクロソフト(MSFT.O), opens new tabのクラウド事業に関する欧州連合（ＥＵ）での独占禁止法違反の申し立てを取り下げた。
グーグルは昨年、マイクロソフトが反競争的行為によって顧客を自社のクラウドプラットフォーム「Ａｚｕｒｅ（アジュール）」に囲い込んでいるとし、ＥＵの欧州委員会に訴えていた。
グーグル・クラウド・ヨーロッパのシニアディレクター、ジョルジア・アベルティーノ氏はブログへの投稿で、欧州委がクラウド分野での問題行動について別の方法で調査すると発表したことを受け、申し立てを取り下げたと説明した。
欧州委は今月、米アマゾン(AMZN.O), opens new tabとマイクロソフトのクラウドサービスに関し、デジタル市場法（ＤＭＡ）に基づき３つの市場調査を開始した。調査は１年以内に完了する予定で、両社のサービスは「ゲートキーパー」に指定される可能性がある。ゲートキーパーに指定された場合、市場開放やユーザーへの選択肢の提供が義務付けられる規制の対象となる。
