Conrad Kobe, the brand’s first hotel in Hyogo Prefecture, is scheduled to open in 2030.

Hilton has announced the 2030 opening of the luxury Conrad Kobe (6-5-1 Kano-cho, Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture), which will mark the debut of its Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Hyogo Prefecture.

The hotel is a key component of the Kobe City Hall Main Building No. 2 Redevelopment Project, an initiative promoted by the Kobe City Government. The development will be jointly managed by a consortium of seven companies, including ORIX Real Estate Corporation and Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp.

The hotel will be located on the 4th floor and floors 20 to 28 of a new high-rise mixed-use tower constructed within the redevelopment site. This building will be directly connected underground to Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae subway station. Its prime location offers easy access to major tourist attractions like the historic Former Foreign Settlement and Nankinmachi (Kobe’s Chinatown), while also serving as a strategic gateway to the city’s waterfront area.

The hotel will offer 136 guest rooms, including suites, as well as a variety of dining venues: an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a cocktail bar.

Additional amenities will include an Executive Lounge, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a spa. To meet the demand for international conferences and events, the hotel will also feature an approximately 500 m2 ballroom and dedicated meeting spaces.

Conrad Kobe will be the brand’s fifth property in Japan, joining Conrad Tokyo, Conrad Osaka, Conrad Nagoya (set to open on July 31, 2026), and Conrad Yokohama (slated for a 2027 opening). Globally, the Conrad Hotels & Resorts portfolio includes 50 properties across five continents. Hilton expressed its ambition for Conrad Kobe to become a new landmark in the cosmopolitan city of Kobe, offering stays that foster connection and create a vibrant hub for exchange.
