[ニューデリー １６日 ロイター] – インド政府が１６日発表した５月のモノの貿易赤字は２１８億８０００万ドルに大幅に縮小した。輸入が減少した。
ロイターがまとめた市場予想は２５０億ドル、４月は２６４億２０００万ドルだった。
ＩＤＦＣファースト銀行のチーフエコノミスト、ガウラ・セン・グプタ氏は「輸入が減少し、貿易赤字が予想以上に縮小した。輸出の低迷は続いており、関税や商品価格下落による国際需要の不確実性を反映している」と述べた。
５月のモノの輸出は３８７億３０００万ドル、輸入は６０６億１０００万ドル。４月は輸出が３８４億９０００万ドル、輸入が６４９億１０００万ドルだった。
政府高官によると、５月のサービス貿易は推定で１４６億５０００万ドルの黒字。サービス輸出は３２３億９０００万ドル、輸入は１７１億４０００万ドルにそれぞれ増加した。
政府高官は「貿易を巡る世界の政策の不確実性にもかかわらず、非常に良い結果となった」と述べた。
携帯電話を含む電子機器の輸出は前年比５４％増と急増した。
４─５月の対米輸出は１７２億５０００万ドルで、前年同期の１４１億７０００万ドルから増加した。４月上旬の米関税引き上げの影響が限定的だったことが浮き彫りとなった。
