米国は本日、2025年大阪・関西万博の米国パビリオンを正式にオープンし、米国のイノベーション、卓越性、インド太平洋地域でのリーダーシップを象徴する視覚的な展示を行います。米国内で国際博覧会の名でも知られる万博は、米国の進取の精神、イノベーション、世界的なリーダーシップを披露する歴史的な機会です。6カ月にわたり開催される大阪・関西万博は、インド太平洋地域ではここ数年で最大の公共かつ経済外交イベントであり、米国の利益を推進し、幅広い分野で米国の卓越性を紹介する戦略的な機会となります。
ルイジアナ州に拠点を置くトレイハン・アーキテクツ社が設計した米国パビリオンは、米国の卓越性を伝える場です。東ゲート入口からすぐという最高の場所に位置し、来場者は最寄りの大阪メトロ夢洲駅から会場へ入るとすぐに建物を目の前に見ることができます。開放感に包まれた中庭には大きなステージが設置され、米国内のさまざまな地域からやって来たミュージシャン、ダンサー、アーティストが内外からの来場者に感動と楽しみを届け、米国文化を味わせてくれます。パビリオン敷地内には、米国原産の草花が植えられた庭も設けられています。
来場者はパビリオン内に入ると、テクノロジー、宇宙探査、教育、文化、イノベーション分野での米国のリーダーシップを紹介する5つの没入型展示へと案内されます。パビリオンに活気を与えてくれるのは、フルアニメーションのバーチャルマスコット「スパーク」と、45州を代表する合わせて20以上の言葉を話すユースアンバサダーたちです。関係者用のプライベートなイベントを開催するスペースや、米国人料理長が提供する郷土料理を味わえるフルサービス形式のレストランも併設されています。
