[ブリュッセル ６日 ロイター] – ユーロ圏財務相は１６日の会合で、ユーロ建てステーブルコインの発行や欧州連合（ＥＵ）共同債の拡大を通じ、ユーロの国際的役割を高め欧州の経済安全保障を強化する方策を協議する。ロイターが関係文書を確認した。
ＥＵの執行機関である欧州委員会が作成した文書は「国際通貨・金融システムの武器化リスクが高まる中、ＥＵは自らの経済・金融安全保障と利益促進能力を強化するため行動する必要がある」と記している。
欧州委は、ユーロの地位強化が世界の金融安定とＥＵの貿易・金融関係に寄与し、ＥＵが自らの価値観を守る能力を高め、制裁政策の効果的な実施につながると主張。各国政府がステーブルコイン、トークン化された預金、中央銀行デジタル通貨（ＣＢＤＣ）などのユーロ建てデジタル資産の発行可能性を検討し、外貨建てステーブルコインに関連するリスクに対処すべきだと述べた。
ＥＵ共同債の発行や、ユーロ圏外の企業や政府にユーロ建て債券の発行を奨励することで、ユーロ建て債券市場の深化を図るべきとも記した。
