[ニューデリー １５日 ロイター] – インド商工省のアグラワル次官は１５日、欧州連合（ＥＵ）との貿易協定に関する協議が月内にまとまる見込みだと明らかにした。
協定は何年も前から検討されており、双方が経済関係を深め、中国やロシアへの依存を減らす機会になると見られている。インド・ＥＵ間の貿易総額は２０２４年に１２００億ユーロ（１４００億ドル）となっており、ＥＵはインドにとって最大の貿易パートナーだ。
アグラワル氏によると、双方は協定の最終合意に「非常に近づいている」とし、今月ニューデリーで開かれる首脳会談までにまとめることができるかどうかを探っているという。
一方、同氏は対米貿易協定について、協議は続いており、双方の準備が整えば合意に達するだろうと説明。交渉は昨年、両政府間の意思疎通がうまくいかずに頓挫した。
