［パリ １７日 ロイター］ – ウクライナのゼレンスキー大統領は１７日、フランスを訪問し、フランス製の戦闘機「ラファール」最大約１００機を取得する意向書に署名した。両国政府によると、戦闘機の取得は期間１０年の戦略的航空協定の一部で、署名された文書には防空システムのほか、弾薬やドローン（小型無人機）なども含まれている。
ゼレンスキー氏はマクロン仏大統領と共に、戦闘機の前で合意文書に署名。「世界有数の防空体制になる」と述べた。マクロン大統領は仏テレビＬＣＩに対し、ラファール戦闘機１００機の取得は「ウクライナ軍の再建に必要な規模」になると指摘。短期的にはドローンのほか、迎撃用システムなどの装備をウクライナに提供し、長期的には和平合意が成立した後にロシアによる再侵攻を防止する力を持たせることを目標としていると述べた。
両国政府によると、合意には開発中の次世代防空システム「ＳＡＭＰ／Ｔ」のほか、誘導爆弾ハンマー（ＡＡＳＭ）なども含まれている。
仏大統領府は、今回の合意は「政治的なコミットメント」になると指摘。凍結されたロシア資産の活用が目指されており、それには欧州連合（ＥＵ）の承認が必要になるため、正式な契約は後日調印されるとした。
