［北京 １０日 ロイター］ – 米連邦捜査局（ＦＢＩ）のパテル長官が先週、中国を訪問し麻薬性鎮痛剤「フェンタニル」や法執行問題について協議したことが関係者の話で分かった。
１０月３０日に習近平中国国家主席と会談したトランプ米大統領は、フェンタニルの米国流入阻止に中国側が取り組むと説明していた。またこの首脳会談で、米国は中国に対するフェンタニル関連の関税を２０％から１０％に下げることで合意した。
関係筋によると、パテル氏は７日に北京入りし、８日に中国政府高官と会談した。
中国商務省は１０日、薬物の材料となる化学物質のリストを見直し、特定の化学物質を米国、カナダ、メキシコ向けに輸出する際は許可を義務付けると発表した。
中国の公安省と外務省、在北京米国大使館は、ロイターのコメント要請には応じていない。
