仏発の大人気ミステリー「アストリッドとラファエル」英国リメイク版
英国ヨークを舞台に複雑な殺人事件に挑む！
大人気のフランスドラマ「アストリッドとラファエル 文書係の事件録」の英国版リメイク・全6話が日本初一挙放送。2025年1月にChannel4で放送が開始され、同チャンネルにおいて配信と放送の両方で、2025年のトップパフォーマンス番組となる大ヒットを飾った。
ヨーク警察の警部補ビー（ローラ・フレイザー）は、白昼に精神科医が焼身自殺を図った事件の捜査を担当する。早速、その医師の妻に話を聞いてヒントを得たビーは、部下のジェイク（ネイサン・ウェルシュ）の助けを得て過去の事件との類似点を発見。ビーは犯罪記録管理室から該当の事件資料を取り寄せるが、文書係のペイシェンス（エラ・メイジー・パーヴィス）は彼女が必要だと考える資料も追加していた。
ビーは、警察の地下で捜査記録の整理をする仕事に就いているペイシェンスの能力を高く評価し、彼女を捜査に参加させるようになる。自閉症を抱えるペイシェンスは、慣れない状況の中、様々なことにストレスを感じるが、ビーによって新しい世界への扉が開かれたことで、優れた推理力で事件を解決に導いていく。大筋はオリジナル版に沿っているが、英国ミステリードラマらしい重厚感が感じられるのが魅力だ。
見どころ1：自閉症への理解を求める工夫がされている

ペイシェンスを演じるエラ自身も自閉症であり、本作では自閉症への理解を求める工夫がされている。彼女はベネディクト・カンバーバッチが代表を務める英国の名門演劇学校LAMDA出身の21歳。「アストリッドとラファエル」は主人公二人の生年月日が同じという設定だが、本作では年齢差のあるバディとなっているのが見どころ。

ビーは離婚しており、一人息子がいるのはラファエルと同じだが、ペイシェンスの状況を知った後、息子に自閉症傾向があることに気づいていくのは新設定。ビーが今後どのような対応をしていくのかが気になる。演じるローラは「証拠は語る」や「ベター・コール・ソウル」等で存在感を発揮してきたスコットランド出身の俳優。

ヨーク市警の文書係。独学で犯罪学を学び、天才的な推理力もあり、ほかの人には見えない手がかりを見つけることができる。自閉症のため予定外のことは苦手。スペイン語にも長け、ビーと共に難事件に立ち向かっていく。
