[ジュネーブ ２５日 ロイター] – 湾岸アラブ諸国は２５日に開かれた国連人権理事会で、イランによるインフラ攻撃が存亡の危機をもたらしていると訴えた。これに対し、国連のターク人権高等弁務官はこうした攻撃が戦争犯罪に該当する可能性があるとの見方を示した。
クウェートの大使は「われわれは国際・地域安全保障に対する存亡の危機に直面している。この攻撃的な姿勢は国際法と主権を損なうものだ」と述べた。
他の湾岸諸国も、イランの行動は恐怖を広めることを目的としたものだと指摘し、アラブ首長国連邦（ＵＡＥ）の大使はイランが「無謀な拡張主義的冒険を通じて国際秩序を不安定化させようとしている」と非難した。
文書によると、同理事会はイランの「挑発のない意図的な」攻撃を非難し、イランに賠償を求め、国連人権高等弁務官に状況の監視を要請する決議を全会一致で採択した。
イランの大使は米国とイスラエルによる攻撃でこれまでに１５００人以上の民間人が死亡したと述べ、自国の行動の正当性を主張した。
ターク氏は極めて危険かつ予測不能な状況だと懸念を示し、各国に紛争終結を呼びかけた。
また「民間人や民間インフラへの攻撃は終わらせなければならない。意図的なら戦争犯罪に当たる可能性がある」と述べた。
