［モスクワ １７日 ロイター］ – ロシア外務省は１７日、トランプ米大統領がキューバに対する強硬な発言をエスカレートさせる中、キューバに対する「揺るぎない連帯」を改めて表明した。
トランプ大統領は１６日、キューバに対し「私は何でもできる」とし、「何らかの形でキューバを掌握する栄誉」を得ることを期待していると述べた。
ロシア外務省はトランプ氏に言及することは避けた上で、キューバを巡る緊張の高まりに懸念を表明。「ロシアは兄弟国キューバに対し、揺るぎない連帯を改めて表明する」とし、「主権国家の内政への露骨な干渉、威嚇、違法な一方的制裁措置の行使を強く非難する」とした。
ロシア大統領府は、キューバ指導部と連絡を取り合っており、可能な限りの支援を行う用意があると表明している。
