[ニューデリー ４日 ロイター] – ロシアは、米イスラエルのイラン攻撃に伴う原油供給混乱を受け、友好国インドに対して輸出の一部を振り向ける準備を進めている。事情に詳しい業界関係者が明らかにした。ロシア産原油約９５０万バレルを積んだ船舶がインド近海を航行しており、数週間以内に到着可能な状況にあるという。
関係者は、これらの船舶は非ロシア籍だが、どの国向けの積み荷を積んでいたかについては明かさなかった。
インドの原油在庫は消費量約２５日分を賄うにとどまる。製油会社も軽油、ガソリン、液化石油ガスの在庫を限定的な水準しか保有していない。
インドのロシア産原油輸入は、トランプ米大統領がインドにロシア産の輸入を止めるよう関税で圧力をかける中、１月には日量約１１０万バレルと２０２２年１１月以来の低水準に落ち込んだ。
インド政府筋によると、インドの原油輸入の約４０％が、イラン攻撃をきっかけに事実上の封鎖状態になったホルムズ海峡を経由する。政府は中東での紛争が１０─１５日間以上続く事態に備え、代替供給源の確保を模索しているという。
先の業界関係者は、ロシアはインドの原油消費量の最大４０％を賄う用意があると語った。 別の関係者は、インドがロシア産の受け入れを拡大するかはインド政府次第だと語った。
