J3の福島ユナイテッドFCは1日、J1の川崎フロンターレと結んでいる業務提携の期間を延長することが決まったと発表した。
両クラブの業務提携は、双方のチームおよび選手の強化、育成によりクラブの発展を図ることを目的に、2024年2月からスタート。「両クラブ間の選手などの人材交流」と「スカウティングの情報ならびにチーム強化のノウハウの共有」が進められてきた。
初年度の2024年に川崎から育成型期限付き移籍した大関友翔は、福島の躍進に大きく貢献し、その年のJ3ベストイレブンを受賞。川崎復帰後もJ1や世代別日本代表で活躍し、先日のU23アジアカップでは主力としてチームを大会連覇に導いた。
また、昨季加わった松長根悠仁と由井航太も実戦経験を積み、成長して今季川崎への復帰を果たすなど、提携の成果が着実に表れている。
今回、延長された期間は2026年2月1日から2028年6月30日まで。福島は引き続き、提携を最大限活用してクラブ全体のレベルアップを図り、目標のJ2昇格に向けてまい進していくとしている。

今季は、22歳MF永長鷹虎と19歳DF土屋櫂大が育成型期限付き移籍で川崎から福島へやって来たほか、昨季限りで川崎を退団した41歳GKチョン・ソンリョンも加わっている。
