[モスクワ ２２日 ロイター] – ロシア連邦捜査委員会は２２日、首都モスクワ南部で自動車が爆発し、運転していたロシア軍のファニル・サルワロフ中将が死亡したと発表した。捜査当局は事件にウクライナの特殊機関が関与した可能性があるとの見方を示している。
サルワロフ中将は５６歳で、ロシア軍参謀本部の軍事訓練総局長を務めていた。捜査当局によると、爆発は現地時間午前６時５５分（日本時間午後０時５５分）に発生。サルワロフ中将が運転していた自動車が駐車場から出ようとした際に車体の底部で爆発が起きた。捜査当局が公開した大破した車の映像によると、運転席に血痕が残り、ドアの一部が吹き飛んでいる。
連邦捜査委のペトレンコ報道官は、法医学的証拠の収集のほか、目撃者の聴取、防犯カメラ映像の確認を進めているとし、「ウクライナの情報機関が犯行を組織した可能性を含め、さまざまな犯行動機を捜査している」と述べた。
ロシア大統領府のペスコフ報道官によると、サルワロフ中将に対する攻撃についてプーチン大統領に直ちに報告された。
ウクライナは今回の事件について、今のところ公式にコメントしていない。
２０２２年２月のロシアによるウクライナ全面侵攻開始以降、ロシア軍関係者のほか、ウクライナ侵攻を支持する著名人の暗殺事件がこれまでも発生。ウクライナ軍情報機関は一部について関与を認めている。
