[シドニー １４日 ロイター] – オーストラリアの観光名所ボンダイビーチで１４日、ユダヤ教の祭り「ハヌカ」が催されている最中に銃撃事件が発生、少なくとも１２人が死亡し、３０人近くが負傷した。警察当局はテロ攻撃と認定している。
ニューサウスウェールズ州警察のラニオン本部長は記者会見で、容疑者１人が死亡、もう１人は重体だと明らかにした。警察官２人を含む少なくとも２９人が負傷し、病院に搬送されたという。
警察は現在、３人目の関与の有無について捜査している。
アルバニージー首相は国家安全保障会議を招集。
「ユダヤ系オーストラリア人を狙った攻撃」と非難し「わが国にとって暗黒の瞬間だ。警察と治安当局は攻撃に関与した人物の特定を急いでいる」と述べた。
