11月21日から29日にかけて、スマトラ島は熱帯低気圧センヤールの影響により記録的な豪雨に見舞われ、複数の地域で洪水や土砂崩れが発生しました。
この災害により、甚大な被害が報道されています。犠牲となられた皆様に対し、深く哀悼の意を表しますとともに、被災された方、そのご家族・関係者の皆様に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
また、被災地の一日も早い復旧を心よりお祈りいたします。

Between November 21 and 29, Sumatra was struck by record-breaking rainfall caused by Tropical Depression Senyar, resulting in flooding and landslides across multiple regions.
Reports indicate that this disaster has caused extensive damage. We express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives and extend our heartfelt sympathy to those affected, as well as to their families and all concerned.
We sincerely hope for the earliest possible recovery and restoration in the affected areas.

Gifu University has concluded academic exchange agreements with 12 universities in Indonesia (7 at the university level and 5 at the departmental level). As of November 1, 2025, there are 53 international students from Indonesia enrolled at Gifu University.
