[ニューデリー ２９日 ロイター] – 米マイクロソフト（ＭＳ）(MSFT.O), opens new tabのサティア・ナデラ最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）が１２月にインドを訪問して政府高官と会談する予定だと、事情を知る２人の関係筋が明らかにした。インド訪問は今年二回目。
関係筋の１人によると、ナデラ氏はベンガルールとムンバイで開かれる人工知能（ＡＩ）関連会議で講演するほか、ニューデリーでも複数の会議に出席する。
マイクロソフトはコメント要請に応じなかった。
インド出身のナデラ氏は、工学系の学位取得が成功への道とされるインドで人気が高い。
インドと米国は貿易摩擦の解決を模索している。一方で、モディ首相と当局者らは、マイクロソフトのクラウドソフトに代わる安価な選択肢を提供するＺｏｈｏなど、インド製アプリの利用を促進している。
ナデラ氏は１月にインドを訪れた際、ＡＩとクラウド設備への３０億ドルの投資を発表し、モディ首相と面会している。
インドでは、マイクロソフトが支援するオープンＡＩの「チャットＧＰＴ」、グーグル(GOOGL.O), opens new tabの「ジェミニ」、イーロン・マスク氏が手がける「グロック」が爆発的な人気を博し、企業がＡＩへの注力を強化している。
特に企業では、マイクロソフトのＡＩアシスタント「コパイロット」も広く利用されている。
